New Chestnut Boots: UGG Kids' Classic (Little and Big)

Uggs is so popular, now let me to share hers history with you. The history of Ugg Shoes-Australia correlates with the long tradition of the Australian people depending on heavy duty sheepskin boots for their farming and rugged outdoor activities. For 200 years, Australians referred to their 100% merino sheepskin bootsas "ugs", short for "ugly." By the early 1970's, several sheepskin boot manufacturing plants had been constructed around the Australian city of Perth.

The Stripe Cable Knit Ugg Boot is made of merino wool blend designed to look like your favorite sweater. The boots have bold, rich colored stripes that make a true fashion statement. All boots in our Classic Collection feature a soft foam insole covered with genuine sheepskin and have a molded EVA light and flexible outsole designed for amazing comfort with every step.

My 8 year old hates boots. So when she said she wanted a pair of Uggs, she paid $20 towards them, and we got them. She absolutely loves them. I don't regret the purchase. The shoe salesman said they stretch about one size, so I'm hoping to get two winter seasons out of them. Until Uggs, I had a rule: No expensive shoes for growing feet, but my daughter (Imelda, ha ha) was right on with these.

2010 Nike Pegasus 89 White/Black/Rave Pink/Grey

Nike has been manufacturing the Zoom Pegasus 27 since 1983. In that time the shoe has become one of Nike's most popular cushioning shoe. It has consistently given neutral and under pronating (When the foot does not roll inward enough after the outside the heel hits the ground) runners a comfortable and lightweight shoe for training. For 2010 the Pegasus 27 has been updated and is finally offered in gender specific versions.

The sole of the Zoom Pegasus is new for 2010. Although similar to the sole in the Pegasus 25 and 26, the heel features a Nike Air unit to absorb the initial contact the heel makes with the ground. The midsole is now made out of Cushlon as opposed to Phylon, this is a material developed by Nike for shock absorption. What makes the material unique is that it returns to it's original shape after every step. Under the heel is a crash pad to absorb the impact of the foot landing, the location of which varies depending on whether the shoe is for a man or woman.

Under the arch of the shoe is a piece of TPU (a plastic material), which is known as a shank. This connects the heel of the sole with the forefoot to provide stability, help control pronation, and help keep the foot in a natural position. The forefoot also features deep flex grooves for stability. These too are in various locations depending on what gender the shoe is designed for. Finally, the outsole is made of carbon rubber for traction and protection of the shoes.

Not much has changed in the midsole of the latest Nike Zoom Pegasus 27 midsole. Nike instead chose to improve the fit of the upper. The front of the shoe is made from a seamless, semi- bootie to reduce foot chafing. Synthetic leather overlays have been modified around the toebox and arch to keep a runner's foot in place.

Crooked Tongues keeps the Nike fire burning with a new Pegasus 89 pre-order. “Part of the series that started in ‘82, the Pegasus was a flagship runner in its many forms over the ’80s and early ’90s. This retro captures the shoe in all its ‘89 splendour. Much lusted over prior to retro, the material mix and silhouette is evocative of an era. This is a great chapter in Nike’s running history.”

2011 The Air Jordan II (2) Retro Qf Mens Sneaker Style

The Jordan Brand has grown very well under its parent company, Nike. The Air Jordan is available in most of the shoe stores of U.S. Michael Jordan retired and the shoes still were much in demand. The Jordan Empire has introduced many series of shoes and dedicated it to the great player and well known sports personality, Michael Jordan. The Air Jordan empire also has to its credit many designs and varieties of sneakers which have also become quite popular. The retro styles are very much in demand and the Jordan Brand has taken up the new job of re-inventing all its old classic models. Thus, emerged Air Jordan Nu'Retro 2.

The Air Jordan II has got its inspiration from its ancestor. The older version had a style of its own with high top cut, cup sole, original Jordan wings logo and also stitched bordering. On the contrary, the newer version boasts of being trim and sleek. But what is interesting here is that there are both similarities and differences in both these models. The Retro 2 uses a fuller length of air sole which lends extra comfort to the wearer. The original shoes used only traditional laces. The other details like Jordan's sports achievements through 1987 are mentioned. There is mention of the Jumpman logo which was introduced in the year 1987. The mainline Air Jordan II was the only shoes which was not black in color.

The Retro 2 is a stylish and elegant shoe. Its feat on the hardwood differs. The Retro shoes offer good ankle support because of the high cut. The Nubuck synthetic leather of the shoe is unstretchable and does not sag as compared to other types of leather. These shoes are definitely different from the other shoes which are available of late. A very good advantage here is that these shoes are made of air soles which lend support and comfort too. The other negative in this type of shoes is that it is not provided with an external arch support and hence fast breaks, landings, quick cuts become a conscious activity and not an effortless job. They are made of man made materials e.g. carbon fiber plate and hence the wearer would feel very hot. It is absolutely impossible for the air to pass making it difficult for the feet to breathe properly. There is practically no place for the heat to escape and hence sometimes they are not as comfortable as they are thought to be.

The shoes are best when used on pavements and not so good on hardwood. If you are not able to buy a true retro sneaker, then the second best option is to go in for a Nu Retro.

Set to hit retail shops on October 23 for $135, we bring you a new look at the Air Jordan II Retro in a Black/White colorway. Jordan pairs the black nubuck upper with a translucent iguana skin print that extends from the ankle to the forefoot. White takes a softer approach and enhances the lines of the upper as well as the liner.

Supra Vaider Holiday 2010 (Carpet Series Shoes Tuf Black)

Recently it would appear that Supra had just magically exploded onto the sneaker scene and almost single-handedly taken the shoe industry by storm creating a footwear revolution in the process.

For long time skater, Streetwear manufacturer and sneaker buff Angel Cabada, the founder of Supra, the journey has been a long and eventful one with plenty of twists and turns rather than a quick, direct blast to the top of the sneaker game.

Angel started his first company, known as TSA, with some fellow skaters who were mainly into making clothes that they could wear when skating. That was 1991 and it lasted for around ten years until Angel decided to leave so he could do his own thing. The company he founded in 2002 was KR3W, his current apparel brand that he manages along with Supra under the distribution umbrella for the two projects known quite simply and aptly as One Distribution; initially built to cut out the middleman in the European distribution process.

So what did Angel take with him from his TSA experience, well just that...'Experience'. He has described his first project as his 'Education' in the business and I've heard other entrepreneurs/founders in street and sneaker culture say similar things; such as the lead designer and co-founder of Creative Recreation, the other hot brand in the up market sneaker niche, who commented in a recent video interview that his training ground in the sneaker industry was as a snowboard boot design technician and later sneaker designer for Vans.

After all of his years of learning on the job at Team Santa Ana (TSA) he openly admits he made a million mistakes as a young, creative businessperson attempting to build his first brand. And in fact one thing he insisted he would do when KR3W opened its doors was take all of that experience and apply it effectively so he wouldn't make the same mistakes all over again.

Since 2002 Angel has been gradually building KR3W based on a solid formula of making simple, effective clothing for skaters, made by skaters; similar to the Team Santa Ana philosophy yet with a more effective company infrastructure and an efficient, productive team of specialists running their particular areas of expertise. KR3W has gradually built a loyal following within the skate community due in part to its durable, stylish designs while the other part of its recipe for success is the development of a team of respected, charismatic, fashion forward and culture and marketing savvy professional skateboarders who are admired by this generation of young skater consumers. The up and coming crop of new boarders admire the pro riders they look up to and learn their skills from yet they themselves are actually the ones who wear the hoodies, jeans and skate shoes every day to really get a feel for their authenticity and how they stand up to daily wear and tear.

After presenting most of the Supra Holiday 2010 Footwear Collection, we take a further look today at one of the most popular styles of the brand – the Vaider. The high top sneaker comes next to mostly solid minimalist colors in a bright green/yellow version.

(October 2010) Charcoal/Black Nike Dunk High Premium SB

Since 1991, Nike shoes (whose namesake hails after the Greek goddess for victory) have garnered tons of accolades and no one can mistake their instantly recognizable "swoosh." Among the most popular line are the Nike SB Dunks. The great thing about these is that they can be had for under one-hundred dollars at an authorized dealer. Demand for these Nike Dunk SBs, however, has driven prices up over the thousand-dollar mark. And where there's money, there's people doing anything they can to get it, including making fake Nike Skateboarding Dunks to sell to the unsuspecting buyer. Therefore, it's vitally important to learn what the real thing looks like before you hand over your hard earned money.

1. The first step is to examine the actual Nike Dunk SB box. Those from the first and second series hand orange boxes. The third series came in a silver box with a green label. These have also come in silver with an orange label, pink with black or orange labels, and black and purple boxes with black labels. If the Nike SB Dunk is in a different colored box, they may not be the real thing.

2. The second step is to take the shoes out of the box. A clear, resealable bag should be attached to the shoes. This bag should contain spare laces for the Nike SB Dunks. The bag should feature the Nike logo and swoosh in solid black with the SB letters beneath. Make sure this lettering is quality and not cheaply painted on or applied.

3. The third step is to actually check the spare shoelaces. They should be different in color than what is already laced in the Nike Dunk SB. Authentic laces will be flat and wide whereas fakes are often cheap, thin, and round.

4. The fourth step is to check the Nike Dunk SBs tongue. It should be a thick, curved tongue that is either V-shaped or U-shaped. If it is thin or squared off, it is fake.

5. The fifth step is to make sure the letters of the Nike logo that is embroidered on the back are nice and fat. Also, make sure they are correctly spaced and the "E" especially is not too far away from the "K."

6. The sixth step involves examining the Swoosh emblems. It is important that the Swoosh on the Nike Skateboarding Dunks is neither too thick nor too thin. Also, be wary if the stitching does not line up right along the edge of the Swoosh.

7. The seventh and final step is to look at the soles. Authentic Nike SB Dunks have both "Nike" and the Swoosh along with their respective registered trademark symbols (R for registered). You'll find these molded into the sole of the Nike SB Dunk right in the mid-position. If the R symbol and the logos are not at the same level, then it is a sure sign you are holding fakes.

Hopefully the next time you get your hands on a great deal, you'll remember these tips and can quickly ascertain whether the Nike SB Dunks are the real things.

Dark Army NIKE AIR MAX 1 RUNNING SHOES

Nike shoes are very popular among people at all ages. The style and quality match most people's taste. Nike Air Max a line of shoes released by Nike Inc. in 1987 first time. Since then Nike has been frequently introducing new as well as updated models in it. Just as we all know, this year is the Nike Air Max 90 that double the 20th anniversary of the birth of a classic style, Nike natural for this trend in the field of running shoes and have made outstanding contributions to the ashes of class to do something to celebrate their praiseworthy Nike 90 shoes, which is none other than the best way with a few more a color.

Just because athletes are popularizing the act of wearing Nike shoes, the company has made great strides in giving the average consumer a good reason for buying their shoes: the Nike sense of fashion is considered to be quite trendy. Several different lines exist for different occasions, such as the Black Nike air max 2003 shoe which is intended for formal occasions. Clearly, consumers are just as happy as athletes.

Nike always brings out the nicest color ways on their Air Max 90's line up and here is one more to add to that collection. One of my favorite Air Max 90 shoes feature a cool grey base color with a white Nike swoosh and hyper blue accents along the sole of the sneaker and heel. Also on this pair they kept their mesh toe box design for added comfort and breathability.

BUY FROM AMAZONE:
The shoe is done in a neutral tone named Light Bone with Dark Army accents on the lace plate and lining. The paneling is done with a wide-mouthed mesh netting that provides tonality and simply looks great. This shoe should fit into any wardrobe with its easy to pair nature but beware, dark denim will stain them.

2011 Nike Dunk High Pro SB (Venom) Anthracite/Orion Blue-White

The Nike Dunk High (6.0 Swan in Metallic Gold) is one of the products in the Nike 'High' dunks family. Other notable products in this rather big family include the Nike Dunk High SB Glow in the Night, the collection Royale Dontrelle's Nike Dunk High, the Custom Red Bull Nike Dunk High, the Oreos Paris Nike Dunk Custom High and the Black Coral Nike 6.0 High Dunk; to name but a few of the many products in this considerably large family.

Although officially classified as a high dunk, the Nike High (6.0 Swan in Metallic Gold) is not such a tall shoe. Indeed, in a less stringent classification system, Nike High 6.0 Swan could quite as easily pass for a mid dunk. It is not that this shoe is particularly small, really, but rather that it lacks the 'illusion of height' that characterizes most other 'high' dunks. As such, it makes a good shoe for the person who wants the comfort that a high dunk offers, without having to contend with the attention a spectacularly high dunk is likely to attract as the wearer moves around.

Colorwise, Nike Dunk High (6.0 Swan in Metallic Gold) can neither be described as too 'loud' a shoe, nor too 'quiet' a shoe. It is really a shoe that falls somewhere between the two extremes. The very bottom part of the shoe's sole, the part that is in touch with the ground is colored light blue; with the upper part of the sole, the part that is connects the sole to the shoe's body being colored white. On the shoe's upper body, at least four colors can be identified. First is white, on the patch towards the middle of the shoe, where the Nike tick originates. White is also to be found on two other patches, first on top of the patch where the toes go in inside the shoe, and again towards the back end of the shoe.

Then there is gold, metallic gold to be sure, which while being the color the issue is identified with, is in fact not the most dominant color on it. Indeed, this color only shows on the Nike Tick on this shoe - which as in all modern Nike, goes all the way to the back of the shoe, and emerges at the opposite side of it. A lighter shade of brown, intermingled with shades of yellow, can be seen on the patch towards the back of the shoe, with yellow being the color on a patch towards the top of the shoe, where the foot first goes in. Finally, there is pink, which is the color Nike has chosen for the original shoelaces on Nike Metallic Gold.

For securing the shoe in place, Nike provides wearers of the Nike High (6.0 Swan in Metallic Gold) with a shoe lace mechanism. As in most high dunks, this is quite long -at 18 holes (in 9 pairs), though the wearer does of course have the option of leaving some of these unlaced.

The mainly Anthracite sneaker almost falls in line with the all grey everything trend thats going on right now but that Orion Blue really does snap when set against it and the subtle black accents. These are color blocked very well and the white midsole does a great job of neutralizing things. These are available now at select retailers.

2010 Nike ACG Lunar Wood - Men's Black & Cool Grey

With an ever-expanding golf clothing collection and ground breaking golf equipment, Nike Golf has proven that it is keen to attack the golf market. Jason Wade, Nike Golf's Apparel Director commented on the range: "We are the number one brand worldwide in golf apparel and our technical innovations will continue to keep us at the forefront of golfer's minds when they are making buying decisions".

With "The Oven", Nike Golf's state of the art research and development facility, at their disposal, Nike has been able to take big steps forward in terms of golf club and golf ball innovation. Nike Golf was one of the first manufacturers to offer adjustable club head technology and they pioneered the polymetal groove technology within putter innovation. This is all thanks this incredible test facility. The amount of testing that goes into new golf clubs is amazing, with engineers testing a clubs sweetspot, centre of gravity and moment of inertia. There is even a sound testing where clubs can be tuned. With committed research employees, the Nike brand will continue to build some of the best golfing products on the market.

Innovation is key and Nike continues to impress with its design and technology. Due to go on the sale in January, the Nike Lunar Control Shoe has had an exciting debut season, having been developed to offer golfers a shoe that provides stability and comfort in a lightweight package. At present, five Nike Golf athletes have debuted the new golf shoe including Paul Casey, Antony Kim and Francesco Molinari. So why has the golf shoe caused a stir? Having been developed in a Nike Sports Research Laboratory, the golf shoe uses Lunarlon foam that is extremely lightweight and highly responsive to provide optimal support and allow complete focus on the fairway.

And just when you think you have it all for the golf course, Nike bring out yet another golf collection! With the Border Collection, Nike FIT Dry, Nike FIT Therma and Nike FIT Storm to name just a few, there is something for every golfer in every weather condition. Each collection is packed with technology designed to fight the elements and keep golfer's performing at their best.

Golf club geeks can be rest assured that when they purchase a set of Nike golf clubs, they will be using the exact same products being played by Nike athletes; an exciting thought. So, although only a relative newcomer to the golf course, Nike Golf has certainly made its mark and is here to stay.

Nike Trainer 1.2 Mid Premium Holiday 2010

The company that is known around the world to anyone in any country that has ever kicked a ball or watched any sort of televised sports or athletic event in his or her life is Nike, an American Company that is one of the largest athletic shoe and apparel manufacturers in the world and one of the most highly respected and recognized brands in the world.

For a company that is so well known by its name that is inspired by the Greek goddess of victory, few people know that the company was not actually started with this name and actually changed its name to Nike in 1978, almost a decade and a half after it was first started. The company was started in 1964 under the name Blue Ribbon Sports by Bill Bowerman and Phil Knight. Phil was a track athlete at the University of Oregon and his coach Bill Bowerman had set up the company to sell shoes form a Japanese manufacturer at track meets. This was done on a very small scale to begin with, most sales were made fromthe back of Phil Knight's car.

Things moved very fast and the duo were making good sales and great profits and soon enough Blue Ribbon Sports had opened its first retail store in the area. A few years later when the contract that Blue Ribbon Sports had with the Japanese company was expiring, Knight and Bowerman decided to start manufacturing and selling their own shoes called NIke Trainers instead of reselling the Japanese company's products any longer.

The first shoe that Knight and Bowerman sold to the public that had the Nike logo on it was in the year 1971. Soon Nike trainers were selling better than the duo had ever expected and in just a few years later they would begin selling shoes that they had designed themselves.

The Nike Trainer SC Premium has been released for Holiday 2010 in three solid color ways. Next to two tonal versions, the sneaker also comes in a great brown/dark army colorway, perfect for this season.

2010 New Balance 576 Heritage Line Fall/Winter Review

Italian sneaker store Shoelosophy presents a special pack of New Balance 576 running sneakers. Entirely produced in the New Balance Flimby factory, the 576 Heritage Line consists of two sneakers coming in dark yellow and khaki colorways, featuring a unique vintage look on the upper.

When many people go shopping for a new pair of sneakers, they sometimes don't take into consideration whether or not they need running shoes or walking shoes. If you don't run on a weekly basis as part of your exercise routine, then you should make sure you find a pair of good walking shoe...such as the New Balance 576. The reason one should choose the right shoe is because walking and running shoes have very different qualities about them.

Qualities of a Good Walking Shoe

Walking shoes, such as the ones featured in this New Balance 576 review, are designed specifically for people who walk the majority of the time. While you walk, the pressure your feet endure from your body weight is applied to different areas than when you run. This is why you need walking shoes for walking and running shoes for running.

Good walking shoes have specific qualities. First, a good walking shoe will allow more flexibility at the ball of the foot. This is because when you walk, your weight "rolls" to the ball of your foot. Secondly, the arch support should be noticeable...not uncomfortable, but you should know that it's there. When you walk, the majority of your weight goes across the arch of your foot. Therefore, you need more support from your walking shoe at the arch.

Finally, the walking shoes you select should be comfortable beginning at the time you put them on in the store. You need to make sure they fit correctly...they need to be snug on your foot so that you aren't likely to slip out of them or trip accidentally.

The New Balance 576 shoes are a popular choice for male walkers for a variety of reasons including durability, comfort and support. In fact, there are many men that have come back to purchase a 2nd or 3rd pair of these shoes once they wear out the other pair(s).

Finally, New Balance shoes are made by an outstanding company that is dedicated to providing the highest quality of shoes, both walking and running, to consumers every day. Additionally, all of the companies shoes are made right here in the USA. Therefore, when you purchase a pair of these shoes, you'll be supporting your fellow Americans.
